We now have two excellent, but completely different, additions to our range of equipment: Transcript ors turntables and PS Audio mains treatment and regeneration supplies.
Transcript ors was founded in 1960 and was one of the W orld’s leading manufacturer of manual turntables, tone arms and access ories, and one of the most modern Hi-Fi manufacturing plants in Europe during the 60’s, 70’s and the early 80’s. Perhaps their most famous and mem orable turntable was the Hydraulic reference (shown below) which has been widely used in numerous television commercials, and films, including the classic 1971 film ‘A Clockw ork Orange’ which used the 1964 Hydraulic Reference turntable in various scenes throughout the film.

Transcriptors now make an excellent MkII version of this stylish turntable which benefits from the advances in material knowledge and manufacturing techniques of the past 25 years. They also make a number of other superb turntables with the lovely little T6 offering superb value for money.

PS Audio has been at the forefront of innovative mains conditioning equipment f or many years. Their famous P300 regeneration unit has long been a favourite amongst audiophiles and this has now been taken to a much higher level with the introduction of the Power Plant Premier.

With so many items of equipment connected to our mains supplies which generate RF noise it is all but impossible to get a clean mains supply to our hi-fi and AV systems. This noise results in a hardening or ‘muddying’ of the sound and degradation in picture quality. The PP takes incoming mains and regenerates it as a pure sine wave, RF free, mains supply.
This is a must have accessory if you have invested thousands of pounds on the best AA or audio equipment. The difference is easy to see or hear and we are offering a home trial to any one interested in benefiting from what we consider to be an essential element of any high-end AV or Audio system .
